The Real Estate specialization provides an academic and practical background for future work in the three areas of real estate, in both the private and public sectors. These are sales and brokerage, financing, and property management and development. The courses are linked to these three areas respectively. They are on principles and transactions; economics and finance; and income properties. There is extensive interest in real estate, both in the private sector for developers, appraisers, brokers, settlement and lenders, in the international agencies, and in the public sector for planning and land use in state and particularly local governments, as well as federal agencies.
