OUR MISSION

The Kogod School of Business established its "Business in the Capital" initiative in 2014 for two reasons: to make an impact on industry and policy in our Washington D.C. metropolitan region and, second, to create even stronger bonds between our business school and local businesses in order to better prepare our students to work in Washington and the world.

HOW WE DO IT

Our activities are varied: We produce knowledge (reports, papers), we convene industry discussions (especially in collaboration with the Global Cities Initiative and the Greater Washington Board of Trade), we host speakers and panels, often weekly, which are largely free to the public.

On the day of our Kogod Greater Washington Millennial Index launch, a panel of American University students, millennials from Kaiser Permanente, and researchers that worked on the index had a discussion about the reports findings and shared their experiences living, working, and learning in the DC Metro region.
