Mark Kruzel, Fund Manager

Mark Kruzel is a senior majoring in Finance and International Relations. Originally from Scottsdale, AZ, Mark moved to the East Coast in search of bigger cities and opportunity. He spent a semester studying at Peking University in Beijing, China, and speaks proficient Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. He is an avid outdoorsman from his years of Boy Scouting and has hiked much of the Western United States. Mark plans to begin his career at Citi in New York City after graduation, working in their Global Corporate Bank.

Seth Borko, Portfolio Manager

Seth Borko is currently a senior at the Kogod School of Business specializing in finance. Seth became interested in investing after taking investments analysis with Professor English and now maintains his own portfolio in addition to his role with the SMIF. As portfolio manager, Seth aims to refine the fund's stock selection routine to create a top down process. In the summer Seth will be joining J.P. Morgan in their Private Banking division.

Omar Eltorai, Investor Relations Officer

Omar Eltorai is a senior majoring in Finance and Economics. Originally from California, Omar first became interested in investing during his freshman year. Since then, he has become active on campus with the extracurricular finance organizations.

Jesse Golaszewski, Accountant

Jesse Golaszewski is a senior in the Kogod School of Business majoring in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Statistics. He is from Glenside, PA but has come to love Washington, DC. Outside of the classroom, his interests extend to advanced sports statistics, music, and food.

Kristen Dales, Operations Manager

Kristen Dales is a senior in the Kogod School of Business majoring in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Art History. Originally from California, Kristen has come to tolerate the many seasons of DC. While at AU, Kristen has also served as an officer of Phi Mu Sorority.

Tom Vail, Economist

Tom Vail is a senior majoring in business administration with a specialization in finance and real estate. As a former day trader, Tom has consistently stressed the importance of sensitivity to market timing and the general macroeconomic climate. He is also an experienced VBA programmer and coded portfolio tracking tools for the SMIF.
