General Overview of Graduate Orientation Programs
MBA Orientation Program
Introducing new students to the Kogod community is an imperative part of the academic experience. K-LAB staff create experiences for incoming students that prepare them for the classroom and also welcome them to our community. For new full-time MBA students, a four-day intensive program introduces them to resources, policies, opportunities, faculty, staff and current students at Kogod. The program also includes an online Math workshop and in person course on Excel. A similar one-day and online program fits the needs of part-time programs.
MS Orientation Program

International Student Orientation Program
The Office of International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) holds an orientation designed specifically for international students. The program includes an English assessment test, an ice cream social, information sessions and more. Visit the ISSS website for more information. ISSS Orientation is held prior to Kogod's Orientation so you will be able to attend both.The spring 2010 ISSS Orientation is Wednesday, January 6, 2010.

Online Orientation
Completion of the online orientation program is required for all new students. The site includes interesting and informative sessions and will take less than one hour to complete. The link to online orientation will be posted here shortly and new students will receive the link in an email from the K-LAB.
On Campus Orientation
All new part time MBA and MS students are required to attend orientation at Kogod on Saturday, January 9, 2010. Registration and breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Student Lounge (located inside the Massachusetts Ave. entrance of Kogod). View full schedule

Review of Mathematics for Business (MBA Only)
All MBA Students are required to complete the Review of Mathematics for Business Workshop online. You will receive an email with information on accessing the workshop from K-LAB. The workshop takes approximately 6 hours to complete. If you have questions about the Review of Mathematics for Business, please call (202) 885-1982 or email ksbgrad@american.edu. The Review must be completed by the first day of classes January 11, 2010.
