The entrepreneurship specialization provides students with the entrepreneurial mind-sets, skills and tools for starting a business and/or being an entrepreneur in corporations, non-profit organizations, government or international organizations.
Students learn how to identify and assess opportunities, develop a new venture business plan, and practice entrepreneurship in multiple environments. This specialization offers the opportunity to learn how to think and behave like an entrepreneur whether you are leading your own new venture or working in an organization.
The specialization consists of six credits of required courses plus six credits of context, topic or skill courses to be selected by the student.
Beyond the classroom, the Entrepreneurs Club at Kogod allows students the opportunity to participate in events related to business & product development, business plans, marketing, fundraising, and sales.
