Kogod students select an area of specialization from the approved programs or design a custom specialization with the assistance and approval of their academic advisor. Specializations are 12 credit hours. Students who choose to pursue a dual specialization must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours in their second specialization.

Students should declare their area of specialization no later than the second semester of their junior year. The declaration must be approved by their academic advisor. The minimum requirements that must achieved prior to approval are:

A cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 (on a 4.00 scale)

A GPA of 2.00 in MATH-211 Applied Calculus I (or MATH-221 Calculus I) and STAT-202 Basic Statistics

A minimum grade of "C" in both ECON-100 Macroeconomics and ECON-200 Microeconomics
