South Asian Arts Festival (Updated 3/18/13)
10:30 am – 3:30 pm, Saturday, April 6 (2013), Abramson Family Founders Room, SIS Building
The Intercollegiate South Asian Arts Festival (SAAF) is a platform to generate discussions about artistic expression of the South Asian and Diasporic identities across borders. The mission of SAAF is to build bridges within Desi communities as well as reach out to new audiences to encourage collegiate introspection of the self through the arts.
In light of our goals of fostering solidarity, it is our honor to showcase art in different mediums including: film, fine arts, drama, music, dance, literature, and poetry. These works of art represent the experiences of the Afghanistani, Bangladeshi, Bhutanese, Indian, Nepali, Pakistani, and Sri Lankan communities. We encourage the cross- regional and cross- generational discussions between professionals, scholars, artists, and students.
