Additional Positions at AU
Since retirement in June 2011, Diana Vogelsong continues to serve the library through part-time reference work and as a member of the Friends of AU Library Board. Currently she also volunteers as the image archivist in the library of the Sandy Spring Museum in Montgomery County. Ms. Vogelsong’s research and library professional activities include work in media and the arts, contributions to intellectual freedom issues, and library marketing. She is author of the award winning reference book, Landscape Architecture Sourcebook; a Guide to Resources on the History and Practice of Landscape Architecture in the United States.
Over the course of her career at American University Ms. Vogelsong served as reference librarian, media services librarian, Associate University Librarian for Public Services, and from January 2006 to August 2007 as Acting University Librarian. She established the Media Services Department and launched several new programs including the University Library College Writing and Undergraduate Research Awards.
