Featured Event:
Library Garden Party
Friday, May 20th, 6 pm - 8:30 pm

Join the Friends of AU Library and the AU Arboretum and Gardens for a Library Garden Party, featuring pre-event tours of Bender Library and Arboretum and Gardens, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and an expert guided wine tasting with James Bogaty, CAS/BA ’76, of Veramar Vineyard. Proceeds from the event will benefit the AU Library and AU Arboretum and Gardens.

Literary Lunchtime in the Library
Mondays, March 21st, and April 18th, noon – 1 pm, Mud Box Café, Bender Library lower level

This popular series features students from the Department of Literature’s MFA in Creative Writing program who read from their works in progress. Refreshments will be served.

April 18th: Gina Evers and Philip Dean Walker


Final Perk

An end-of-semester study break, co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library, for students with free coffee, cookies, and entertainment.


Alumni Author Talk and Book Signing
Wednesday, May 11th, 7:15 pm - 9 pm, Mud Box Café, Bender Library lower level

Pearl Rance-Reardon, CAS/MFA '96, will speak about her very first book Little Back Room (iUniverse, Incorporate). Little Back Room is a collection of short stories that explore themes varying from divorce and online romance to race and class issues. Originally from Jamaica, some of her short stories revolve around her life in her native country.
