The Music Library, established in 1966, is a branch of the University Library. In 2005, the library moved into the new Katzen Arts Center.
The Library’s collections include:
- 15,000 scores, including historical sheet music
- 9,700 compact discs
- 13,000 LPs
- Selected reference works
- Streaming audio databases with access to approximately 100,481 albums
- 230+ music and musical theater-related DVDs
Our collections represent a broad spectrum of subjects, periods, and styles, including classical music, musical theater, jazz and blues, world music, and popular music.
Although the collections reflect an emphasis on AU academic programs in music, the Music Library also provides materials for the educational needs of the entire campus and community.
