Technology Borrowing

Computer Equipment

A selection of computer equipment is available for loan at the Technology Services desk located on the Lower Level of the Library.

The following equipment is available to current AU students, faculty and staff for a loan period of 4 hours with fines of $3 / hour, prorated to .05 cents/minute. Replacement fees will be charged for items damaged, lost or stolen while checked out.

There is no fee for borrowing equipment from the Library.

Equipment may be renewed in person, or by sending a message to AUTechServices@gmail.com as long as there is no one else waiting to use an item. Overnight items may not be renewed online or by phone and must be either returned to the Information Desk before 7:30AM or renewed in person at the Tech Services Desk when it opens at 8AM.

The following equipment is available to current AU students, faculty and staff for a loan period of 2 weeks with overdue fines of $1/day. The E-readers have current popular fiction titles pre-loaded on them and can be used to read pdfs. There is often a wait list for these items so stop by the desk today to check availability!

Audiovisual Equipment

A selection of audiovisual equipment is available for loan at the New Media Center located on the Lower Level of the Library.

The equipment listed below is available to current AU students, faculty and staff for 3 day loan. Fines are $25 per day per item. Equipment may be renewed in-person if currrent demand is low.

There is no fee for borrowing equipment from the Library.

NMC makes every effort to have all equipment batteries fully charged, but with high turnover this is not always possible. Plan your project to give yourself time to charge equipment if necessary.
