Katzen Arts Center

Main Campus
Academic Building
3500 NEBRASKA AVENUE NW 20016
Completed in 2005, the Katzen Arts Center brings all the visual and performing arts programs at AU into one 130,000-square-foot space. Designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration in the arts, the Katzen includes the museum, the Abramson Family Recital Hall, the Studio Theatre, a dance studio, an electronics studio, individual studios for MFA students, rehearsal space, and classrooms. The Katzen is a statement to the community that American University is a place where the arts are honored as the heart of higher education. There is a 550-space garage located beneath the Katzen Center at the Massachusetts Avenue entrance.
