AU Hosts Annual Job and Internship Fair

WASHINGTON, D.C.—American University’s Career Center will hold its annual spring job and internship fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 26, in Bender Arena.
More than 130 companies and nonprofit organizations will be on hand to talk to AU students and interested alumni.
“We are delighted to be hosting such a number and variety of organizations—especially given the turbulent economy,” said Katherine Stahl, executive director of AU’s Career Center. “We are also happy with the increased number of nonprofit organizations and government agencies that are eager to connect with our public-service oriented students.”
The fair attracts an average of 800 students and AU graduates looking for internship and career opportunities, including freshmen, graduating seniors, graduate students, and recent alumni. The first hour is typically the busiest.
AU undergraduate and graduate students specialize in more than 50 disciplines. The most popular include business administration; education; government ; history; international studies; journalism; justice, law, and society; psychology; public administration; and public communication.
