Coming Soon to a City Near You? President Ladner Takes AU News on the Road

More than 300 alumni from Baltimore (May 12) to Washington, D.C. (June 24), helped President Benjamin Ladner celebrate construction of the new Katzen Arts Center, plans for the new SIS building, AU’s increasing endowment, and its goal to improve funding for scholarships and professorships.

All of these projects are part of AnewAU, the $200 million capital campaign American University kicked off last October, which will continue until the goal is reached.

“People had a great time during the event and left very proud of the university and what it’s accomplished,” said Eileen Levitt, KSB/BSBA ’88, Baltimore Alumni Chapter Leader.

Alumni receptions are being planned for cities across the country this fall and next spring.

Mark your calendar for September 23, if you live in the Chicago area. An alumni reception at the Metropolitan Club in Chicago’s Sears Towers will be held, and plans are under way for receptions in Philadelphia, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Boston as well as other cities in the U.S. and abroad.
