| New Rankings Confirm AU's Continuing Rise up College Charts Who ever said it wasn't OK to brag, just a little? Last week, U.S. News & World Report released its annual rankings of colleges and universities, and AU gained momentum - yet again - on the annual list. Ten years ago, AU was ranked 122, AU President Benjamin Ladner told more than 1,000 faculty, staff, and new and returning students at opening convocation on August 27 in the Woods-Brown Amphitheatre. Last year, we were ranked number 99. This year, we're ranked number 86. "This says to me our quality is catching up with our reputation," said Ladner. AU
also placed among the top 25 U.S. News & World Report's list
of largest proportion of international undergraduates, at 7 percent, joining
schools including New School University (22 percent), Carnegie Mellon
(11 percent), and Cornell (7 percent). |
