Find Your Old Friends in the 2005 AU Alumni Directory

Wondering what happened to your old roommates? Soon, you’ll have a new way to contact them and find out, following the release of the 2005 American University Alumni Directory. Available in a soft-bound edition or on CD-ROM, the directory will contain the most accurate and up-to-date information on American University alumni*.

“AU has nearly 20,000 "lost" alumni, meaning we have no current address information on them. We are encouraging all alumni to take a moment and make sure AU has their current contact information," says Vanessa Peet, associate director of Alumni Programs.

Alumni Programs has been collaborating with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) to update our databases and confirm address and work information currently on file.

“In mid-summer 2004, PCI will begin a mail, e-mail, and phone campaign to confirm the information AU currently holds on alumni to help us find our lost alumni so we reach more of them about upcoming events, benefits and services, etc,” says Peet.

Peet and the Alumni Programs staff are excited about the project and the benefits it holds for alumni and the alumni programs office.

Alumni will also benefit from the accessibility of the new directory. While the On-Line Community will still be a great source of alumni contact information, the new paper and CD versions of the directory will serve as another quick reference tool when looking for old friends or trying to make new career contacts.

Soft-bound editions of the directory will be $69.95. The CD-ROM will be available for $89.95.

Questions regarding the directory project should be directed to Vanessa Peet at 202-885-5962.

If your address/work information changes after you are surveyed, please e-mail Alumni Programs at involved@american.edu

*Individuals may elect not have their address/work information published in the directory.
Address information for the directory will continue to be updated until October 2004.
