November 2004 Have
you noticed it's been getting dark earlier now that daylight
savings has ended? While I've found it a bit jarring to wonder
where the time has gone each day when 5 p.m. approaches, it's
still a special treat to catch the sunset from my window overlooking
the gold-leafed trees and the Tenley intramural field below.
Of course, this week, the field's usual bustle is hushed,
as most students have already made their way to places away
from the AU grounds for a few days of Thanksgiving respite.
What
will you do for Thanksgiving this year? This wonderfully inspired
holiday of feasting and football with family and friends also
seems to mark the unfortunate phenomenon of not having enough
time to get everything done. But just remember: Planning for the last
weeks of 2004 and the coming months of the new year is much
like eating that turkey and all its trimmings - pacing
oneself really can help.
All
the best-
