President Ladner Heading to Philly to Share AnewAU Plans

Alumni who live in the City of Brotherly Love will find out what's new at AU straight from President Benjamin Ladner on December 1. Many Philadelphia-area alumni are already registered to attend the center city reception at the National Constitution Center, and there’s still time to sign up.

The event, which marks the fourth in a series of regional visits by AU President Dr. Benjamin Ladner to discuss AnewAU and all the changes it’s bringing to campus, will include a special Philadelphia-style entertainment surprise.

“We are expecting more than 100 alumni for this event due to President Ladner’s presence - in addition to a Mummers String Band,” says Ronald “Boots” Nissenbaum, Kogod/BS ’68, who’s serving his third term as the Philadelphia Alumni Chapter leader this year.

Already, Dr. Ladner has joined alumni in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Chicago to share the news about AnewAU. The receptions include hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and soda, and cost $15 per person.

The next Philly AU Alumni event is scheduled for April 1, 2005, for “First Friday” in Old City - when all the area art galleries and artist studios have open houses. Contact Boots or check the Alumni Events Web page for details on this upcoming event, which will include a cocktail reception.
