| New Chapter Leaders Appointed to Alumni Board, Already Planning for Year Ahead There are more than more than a dozen fresh faces on this year’s American University Alumni Board. With seven new members-at-large on the executive board and eight new leaders involved with regional chapters, it promises to be an exciting year ahead. “Getting new volunteers involved with alumni activities is vital to keeping our programs growing. We are in a great position—we have seasoned volunteers who know the ins and outs of the entire program and we have brand new volunteers who have original, 'out of the box' ideas,” says Vanessa Yost, director of alumni programs. The
new recruits are excited as well. “I am so happy to have the opportunity
to work with the AU community again. I loved being involved while I was
in school, and I am thrilled to have this opportunity to do so again,”
says Krissy Goelz, SOC/BA ’99, the new chapter leader for New York
City.
Congratulations to Kelita Svoboda Bak, SPA/BA ’96, and Nathan Rose, SIS/BA ’00, as well. Both have been active in their school-based alumni chapters (SPA and SIS respectively) and have recently been promoted to chapter leaders. Last but not least, let's not forget the returning Alumni Board members:
Please
join me in welcoming and thanking our new and returning alumni volunteers
as they lead us into another great year!
