| Hoping to Start Alumni Chapter, Kansas City Alumni Mix and Mingle Last week , the Granfallon Bar & Grill was the meeting spot for Kansas City alumni. Fifteen alums showed up to meet and mingle with their fellow alumni. "We had a great turnout for a first-time event. It's a solid start to organizing an alumni chapter here in Kansas City,” says Jason Dalen, SPA/BA '95, WCL/JD '00. Dalen organized the event with the help of his wife, Kathleen Boyle Dalen, CAS/BA '95, and other area alums, including: Lisa Epps, SPA/BA '91, Julie Formwalt, CAS/BA '92, Josh Hill, SPA/BA '93, Chris Mohart, SPA/BA '99, Doug Stone, SIS/BA '80, and Alex Wendell, SPA/BA '97. Beyond being a wonderful social event, the main point of the evening was to try and organize a solid group of alumni for more area activites. “Everyone was very enthusiastic about future events,” Dalen says. |
