May 2005
Pride and joy! These are just two words to describe the elation of thousands of students and their families whose smiles stayed put for hours in celebration of graduation earlier this month. AU's 119th commencement ceremonies featured three prominent D.C.-area residents, each offering their wisdom and advice for success post-AU.
Other newsworthy events this month include the Class of 2005's gift of more than $62,000 toward a student lounge in the new Katzen Arts Center. YOU, the alumni, helped AU break another record this month: AU's highest alumni giving rate ever - 20 percent.
Here's hoping AU alumni continue to break new records in unimaginable creative new ways... and that you'll share your good news about them with us.
All the best-
-Melissa Reichley
