New Alumni Chapter Launches in Brussels
With more than 40 alumni residing in Belgium, AU has officially launched its seventh international alumni chapter. Like its counterparts in Beijing, London, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, and Istanbul, the new Belgium alumni chapter aims to gather alumni and current and prospective students to network and reconnect.
Chapter leader Nina Peacock, SIS/BA ’05, is excited about the new AU community-building opportunity the chapter will bring through various networking activities in and around Brussels. With the chapter's debut event on January 15, she is already seeing a great demand for alumni events in the region, and the chapter promises to bring many more exciting activities throughtout the year and looks forward to engaging AU alumni networks globally.
The chapter will plan various events and activities, such as get-togethers in conjunction with the AU Abroad program as an opportunity for AU alumni to meet and mingle with current AU students, as well as a mentorship program where AU students in Belgium may contact mentors for advice about AU, Belgium, job hunting, etc.
