Why become a recognized Student Organization?

By being a recognized student organization you are able to take part in all of these benefits

-You have the ability to reserve meeting places on campus and to set up displays in the various campus buildings subject to university regulations.

-The AU name and purchasing power of the University is behind your organization

-You can apply for funding through the AUCC or other organization governing board

-Advertising throughout campus is as simple as getting a stamp for your poster or flyer

-An organization email account with the AU domain name can be obtained by your organization by emailing helpdesk@american.edu

-You are eligible to participate in the Fall and Spring Involvement Fairs

-As much staff support and guidance in your program planning as you need
