The University Center Student Leadership Awards seeks to acknowledge organizations, student leaders, and student organization advisers that model exemplary leadership and community involvement for American University.
The Student Leadership Awards recognize extraordinary leadership and service to the AU community thorough leadership, programming, community engagement, and co-curricular involvement excellence within the recognized student organization communities of: -AU Club Council Student clubs -AU Student Government -AU Student Media -Fraternity/Sorority Life -Professional Greek Fraternities/Sororities

1. Fill out nominations forms completely (below) and attach your print
media (pdf, or jpeg file) to the application submission (only typed forms will
be accepted). Download a copy for a fillable pdf file.
2. Save file for your personal records.

Student Organization Awards
The Student organization must:
Be a recognized student organization. Organizations of all sizes can apply for each award. (AUCC recognized clubs,
Student Media groups, Fraternity, Sorority, Student Government, or Professional
Have gone above and beyond their organization mission to provide significant and programming or leadership that has impact on the campus community. (Hosting spectacular programming, diversifying membership, building stronger organization communities, and/or leading positive change for the AU community.)
All submissions must include
documentation that displays the impact or value for nominations:
submit a picture of the student organization board.
share a copy of an advertisement, flyer, or any documentation for evidence of
enrolled AU students- undergraduate and graduate are eligible
Students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of
Students must be in good judicial standing with the University
Students must make specific and significant contributions to
student life during the past academic year through involvement in campus
activities, academic initiatives, student governance, community service,
leadership and their pursuits to support and empower their peers;
Candidates may be considered for significant one-time
contributions, or for sustained involvement
Students must demonstrate leadership in the AU community through
formal and informal leadership roles in organizations and activities that
enhance life on campus
