Women on 20s Co-Founder Barbara Howard, recently ranked #37 on The POLITICO 50, will visit to discuss the Women on 20s movement and the next steps to ensuring that both women and Native Americans are iconized on the $20 bill in place of slave trader Andrew Jackson, the president who instituted the Indian Removal Act.

Writer, producer and lead actress Tanis Parenteau (Metis) will join SANC for a screening of her short film "A Big Black Space." Based on a true story, the film reveals the culture of violence one Native American woman faces as she narrowly escapes sexual assault. SANC will commemorate Native American Heritage Month and thanks for season's harvest with its second annual Nunnowa Round Dance Social. The event will include a spread of traditional Native and Thanksgiving foods, with drumming, singing and dancing by Shinnecock Youth Council group.
