LGBTQA Awards Ceremony

Our Annual Awards Ceremony is our annual opportunity to celebrate what is best about AU's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally communities. It is a chance to review our achievements and give credit to members of the campus community who helped make them possible. Each April we have an event where we:

  • Present awards to students, staff, faculty, and alums at American University
  • Present Rainbow tassels to those students who are graduating.
    • Want your rainbow tassel? Every Spring semester we put a call out for those interested in receiving a rainbow tassel at the awards ceremony through the Gay Gab and at the Graduation Fair.
