The Safe Space Sticker Program was created to develop a visual network of support for the LGBTQ community on campus. Its primary mission is to create a safer, more inclusive environment on American University's campus and encourage networking between faculty, staff, and students. The workshop provides an opportunity to examine assumptions about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people and explore the impact of heterosexism and homophobia.
