American University Counseling Center is an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical training site for pre-doctoral interns.  Every academic year we welcome four clinical interns from outstanding doctoral programs in Clinical Psychology and Counseling Psychology to our staff.

Our staff is also comprised of Practicum trainees who are first-year graduate students in the clinical psychology program at American University.  All of our staff trainees participate in coursework, individual and group supervision, outreach and consultation activities, and the delivery of psychological services to American University students.
