Students Speak for Themselves
A good way to judge a school when looking at different colleges is to talk with the students who go there. There are many GLBT students at American University for you to talk to about college life. We have an Advisor program to match you with a current student to with you about GLBT life at American University. Also, the GLBTA Resource Center and the undergraduate GLBT group, AU Queers and Allies, welcome you to attend the meetings and events that are sponsored by both groups to get a feel for what GLBT life at American University can be. The GLBTA Resource Center will also help connect you with the Office of Admissions to begin the process of applying to American University. Talking with other GLBT students at American University is a good way to feel how welcoming AU is to prospective GLBT students.
Feel free to contact or visit the office to talk to a current GLBT student. If you are a prospective student, also check out our Spectrum Project (an advisor program that matches prospective students with a current AU student for an honest look at AU).
