Get Involved
There are plenty of ways for you to get involved! Bring experience, curiosity or even just an idea. We’ll work with you to make sure your suggestions are heard and give you an opportunity to get involved!
Question #1:
Are you on the listserv? The GLBTA Resource Center has a listserv that tells you everything you need to know. Well… almost. You can choose to be on the digest version of the listserv so you will only receive one e-mail a day with all of the messages included.
Question #2:
How do you feel about community service? There are many different GLBTA organizations that provide students and members of the community with opporotunities to get involved in DC. For details, check out the Community Service Center's Directory of Local Non-Profit Organizations or our Internship section of this website.
Question #3:
What do you like to do? Chances are, we might have the perfect group or activity for you! If not, we have plenty of opportunities for you to get involved and make a difference.
The GLBTA Resource Center is open from 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. Here in 201 Mary Graydon Center we have comfortable couches and great staff to welcome you. Students often hang out here between classes or as a way to meet friends. It is a safe and open environment where you can always find good conversation and good company.
We also have a fabulous lending library. Come and borrow books, movies, music, and magazines for class projects or your own personal enjoyment.
Make sure you check out our calendar for upcoming events!!!
You can always volunteer your time in the Resource Center too. We’d love to know what interests you have and we’ll give you an opportunity to explore those areas. Throughout the website you can find many other ways to get involved.
If you like meetings…
