About the Well Center

Important Information For All Students
Who Are We?
We are a student-run group dedicated to empowering our peers to achieve optimal wellness, which is, to be well physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
Our Belief and Mission
Our belief is simple. We believe our members learn best and obtain a better quality of life when feeling and doing well. Thus, it is our
mission to empower our campus to make wise and healthy decisions.

What We Do
True to our name, we provide informational workshops that focus on student health issues like sexuality, alcohol, stress management, tattooing/piercing and more. We’re direct, we’re honest and our campus deserves nothing less!

We also serve as an information resource for the AU community. We are trained in several health topics and we’re ready to help.

Topics We Tackle
No topic is too taboo for TNT. In fact, our goal is to provide the most current information on relevant health issues and topics which have not been addressed fully. These include
:

Sexual Health (STDs & Contraception options) Sexual Communication
HIV/AIDS Alcohol and Other Drugs
Stress Reduction Tattooing/Piercing
Our Training
Every semester we undergo FUN training sessions that are led by health professionals. Not only do we learn about wellness issues, but we also learn how to develop skills that employers and graduate schools seek. These skills include, but are not limited to:

- Leadership and Group Facilitation
- Presentation and public speaking
- Time management
- Team building
- Program and event planning
- Problem Solving
- Materials design and creation

We provide training and support for growth and skill development in all these areas.
Our Sponsor
TNT is encouraged by the Office of Campus Life, The Student Health Center and The WELL Center. Health Professionals train students to provide the most recent factual information about health issues. Students training to be TNT Wellness Advocates are provided with leadership and group facilitation training and current factual health information.
