2008-2009 Meal Plans and Rates

| Super Plan | Unlimited access to Terrace Dining Room (TDR) or the Tenley Cafe | $2,300.00 |
| 200 Block Plan | This plan will allow access to 200 meals per semester, approximately 12 meals per week, in the Terrace Dining Room (TDR) or the Tenley Café, plus $300.00 per semester in EagleBuck$ which can be spent at participating establishments on and off campus | $2,270.00 |
| 150 Block Plan | This plan will allow access to 150 meals per semester, approximately 9 meals per week, in the Terrace Dining Room (TDR) or the Tenley Café, plus $300.00 per semester in EagleBuck$ which can be spent at participating establishments on and off campus | $2,080.00 |

All first and second-year resident students are required to be enrolled in a meal plan. Freshmen and first-year transfer students are required to be enrolled in at least the 150 Block Plan, but can also enroll in the 200 Block or Super meal plans. Second-year students are free to choose from any of the five meals plan offered. For the 2008-2009 academic year, meal plan rates range from $1,310 to $2,300 per semester. All meal plans except the Super Plan include EagleBuck$. Please note that residence halls have limited cooking facilities.
In order to sign up for a meal plan, log on to your my.american.edu portal, select the Life @ AU link, then choose Select a Meal Plan. Students can select a meal plan through their portal until Friday, August 10th. Students can also enroll in a meal plan or change their meal plan by visiting the Housing and Dining Programs office located on the first floor of Anderson Hall during normal business hours. New, incoming students that do not select a meal plan will be automatically enrolled in the 150 block meal plan. Students admitted for the Spring semester may enroll in a meal plan during spring orientation in January.
