Guest & Intern Housing

Housing & Dining Programs at American University is happy to announce AU-Affiliated Guest and Intern housing is now available between January 6, 2013 and May 12, 2013. American University is a very attractive housing option for visiting guests and interns, offering high-quality accommodations in an ideal location at competitive prices.

Our residence halls are among the best equipped in the metropolitan area. All rooms are carpeted and air-conditioned with in-room temperature controls. All floors also include laundry facilities, kitchenettes, lounge spaces, and separate communal men's and women's bathroom and shower facilities. Additionally, our entire campus, including the residence halls, has wireless internet connectivity for your convenience.

American University is situated in an ideal location in the nation's capital. Located in one of northwest Washington, DC's most beautiful residential areas, AU is just minutes by bus, cab, Metro (subway), or car from the city's most famous sites. The American University free shuttle service connects the university to Washington's Metro line at the Tenleytown/AU station, which is located just a block away from the Tenley Campus and three-quarters of a mile from the main campus.

AU-Affiliated Guest Housing

AU-Affiliated Guest Housing is available for individuals who have an AU-Student Account or those sponsored by an American University office or department. There is a two (2) week minimum stay for all individuals registering for AU-Affiliated Guest Housing.

Spring 2013 Intern Housing

We host hundreds of interns each year, creating a community of peers and colleagues. Interns are housed together in the same residence hall, providing them the opportunity to network and build friendships with other students here for the semester. If you're looking for a safe and convenient fall home, AU is the place for you! We at AU Housing & Dining Programs know and understand the challenges of the internship experience, and we work hard to make sure that our guests are set up to be successful.
