President's Message
Welcome to the American University Residence Hall
Association. We make it our top priority at RHA to make life more
fun and enjoyable for resident students at A.U. Through a combination
of programming and advocating for the students on Housing and Dining
issues we work to improve the quality of on-campus life.
This year we have set our sights high. With a new and dedicated
executive board and tremendous representatives at the hall and floor
level we have increased our presence on the American University
campus. This
fall alone RHA General hosted the poster sales, welcome kits, Kindergarten
on the Quad, Hall Wars, a World Series Party, Election Day jousting,
Alcohol Awareness event “Pre-Gaming”, and our big event, the Diplomatic
Ball. And guess what? Our plans for the Spring are even more
ambitious! Check out our events calendar for upcoming events in
the Spring of 2005.
The RHA is all about fun! Being involved in RHA is an opportunity
to put together awesome programs like casino nights, carnivals,
barbeques, Halloween parties and more and to gain leadership skills
that will always be with you, not to mention memories you will never
forget. If you would like to join RHA, as a member of our Hall Boards,
floor boards, or even inquire about a board of directors position.
Position descriptions and openings are listed on the website under
“RHA community.”
Please feel free to contact the RHA with any suggestions, housing
and dining related complaints, program ideas, or anything else!
We are always here to serve you and make AU a more fun and enjoyable
place to live for all resident students. Thanks so much and I look
forward to a great Spring 2005 Semester!
