Housing will only be available on the Tenley Campus and primarily for current residents on a first-come, first-served basis.Applications will only be considered for noon, Wednesday, December 19, 2012, through Noon, Sunday, January 6, 2012. You will receive your winter housing assignment at check in.Please note that you will be charged for a 7 day minimum (see below for rates). All applicants will be expected to sign a special Winter Housing Agreement. (All rules and regulations outlined in The Student Handbook are applicable.) Housing & Dining Programs reserves the right to remove any resident from Winter Break Housing if deemed necessary as indicated in the License Agreement. Cancellations must be made in writing by Friday, December 7, 2012, or a $50 administrative charge will be assessed.
There will be no access to the main campus residence halls (except Nebraska) during any portion of the break, nor will there be any mail delivery at Tenley Campus or to main campus mail boxes. Additionally, residents will need to provide their own linen and bedding. Please plan accordingly.Main campus complex desks (Anderson, McDowell and Tenley) will reopen at 9 am on Sunday, January 6, 2012 for all residents. Break residents MUST move to their spring assignment rooms with all personal belongings no later than 12:00 Noon on Sunday, January 6, 2012. There are no exceptions to this deadline. Break residents will receive check-out instructions at check-in and/or during the break.
Winter Break Housing Rates
Winter Break Housing charges will automatically be billed to the student account of the American University student listed above. The break housing rate is $40.00 per person per night, with a minimum stay charge of $280.00 for 7 nights ($680 for the entire break). There will be no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
