Academic Year Housing
Tenley Campus
Washington Semester Program students are housed exclusively on American University's Tenley Campus in one of three residence halls, although some choose to live in AU's off-campus apartment building, the Park Bethesda. (In the summer, all WSP Internship program students are housed in Congressional Hall.)
Location
The Tenley Campus is located at the corner
of Nebraska and Wisconsin Avenues, N.W.
It is one half mile or three long city blocks
from the main campus, about a 15 minute
walk. Two blocks in the opposite direction
is the Tenley Metro stop on the subway red
line. The university shuttle runs every
15-30 minutes, 7:00 a.m.-midnight, between
the main campus, Tenley campus, and the
metro.
Choice
Students living on the Tenley campus are
housed in three residence halls.
Congressional
Hall, with 160 students, contains
the central reception desk. This desk is
staffed 24-hours a day and is where all
residents of the Tenley campus check-in
and where students catch the shuttle to
the main campus.
Capital Hall, housing 194
students, is the oldest and most ornate
hall boasting a wide marble staircase and
high ceilinged rooms. It houses the Tenley
Campus Fitness Center.
Federal Hall, housing 105
students, contains the mail room and the
cafeteria on its first floor.
