Park
Bethesda is AU's modern and convenient off-campus apartment
building. Only American University graduate students, law students and
undergraduates who have taken college courses for at least two years
are qualified to lease space in Park Bethesda as students. The Park
Bethesda offers 258 spacious and modern apartments in a variety of types

American University's Park Bethesda apartment building opened in August
of 2002 and offers the best of off-campus living with the benefits of
University management. It is conveniently located just 2 miles from
campus at 5325 Westbard Avenue in Bethesda, MD. (Directions
to Park Bethesda from AU campus.)

Transportation:
There is
a free shuttle that runs between from Park Bethesda and main campus
during peak commute hours (7:30am to 11:30am in the morning and 7:00pm
to 11:00pm in the evening) from Monday through Friday (please note there
is no shuttle service on Saturday or Sunday. On main campus, you can
transfer to AU's free shuttle to the Tenley Metro. There is also fast
(about 8 minutes) and convenient direct metro bus access to the Bethesda
Metro station for less than $2 for a round trip. Park Bethesda is conveniently
located close to two grocery stores, a drug store, a Starbucks, two
banks, a dry cleaners, restaurants, and a number of other stores and
