A Message to ACUHO-I Internship Candidates
Thank you for your interest in our Summer 2013 ACUHO-I internships! Housing and Dining Programs at American University has a long tradition of successfully hosting ACUHO-I interns that go on to excel both personally and professionally.
Our internship programs are structured to provide interns with a learning opportunity that also helps our department and students reach their goals. We aim to provide a developmental supervisory environment that allows a candidate to grow and change in new directions. Because our department covers a vast array of services and programs for students, we are able to offer collateral and additional responsibilities to our interns across the many sub-units of our office. As an ACUHO-I intern, we will work with you to tailor professional development opportunities and work experiences to meet your individual needs.
In the ACUHO-I intern selection process, we believe that a candidate's "fit" with our department and institution is a two-way street. In order for the internship process to be successful, we must provide you with information in making your decision, just as we seek information about you. For Summer 2013, we have two ACUHO-I internships available (position descriptions for each are located to the right). Please make certain to note which of the two internships is of interest to you.
