The RA Position and Application Process

 

Application Timeline:

We accept applications for the RA position at two times during the academic year. The charts below give you the general timeline of our application and interview processes. These are approximate and are subject to change from year-to-year.

If you are studying abroad, you must apply the semester prior to your abroad experience. We do not accept applications from students while they are abroad because they are not able to participate in the interview process from a distance.

 

 

For Candidates Interested in Positions Starting in Spring 2009: (or for those studying abroad in the fall who are interested in starting the following spring)

Mandatory Information Sessions (candidates must attend 1) Monday, October 13, 2008 (McDowell Formal Lounge; 7:00pm)
Wednesday, October 15, 2008 (McDowell Formal Lounge; 8:00pm)
  Tuesday, October 21, 2008 (Anderson Conference Room; 6:00pm)
   
Applications Due Friday, October 24, 2008 by 5:00pm.  Applications MUST be submitted online.
   
Group Process Interview Saturday, November 8, 2008 (McDowell Formal Lounge; 3:00-6:00pm)
   
Individual Interviews (Contact or Visit the South Complex Office in Anderson Hall to set up your individual interview) Monday, November 3, 2008 - Thursday, November 6, 2008
   
Decision Letters Available Monday, November 17, 2008 at 12:00pm in Housing and Dining Programs Office, Anderson Hall
   
Position/Alternate Acceptance Due Friday, November 21, 2008 by 5:00pm
