All students, including those currently abroad, must complete the Online Housing Application at http://www.american.edu/roomselection by Friday, February 1, 2013 at 5pm EST. Students will receive a Lottery Ticket via e-mail on Friday, February 8, 2013.

Students who are unable to participate in person in the Housing Lottery on February 21, 22, 26, 27, and 28 (e.g., studying abroad, conflicting class), can designate another student or a Housing & Dining Programs staff member to select a space during their selection time. To designate a proxy, complete the appropriate proxy form below:

Student Proxy:

Your proxy should print and present your Lottery Ticket (can be forwarded by e-mail) and their AU ID card (not the AUID of the student that is unable to attend) during the designated selection time. Communicate your housing preferences to your proxy so that they may select a space for you during the Housing Lottery. 

Housing & Dining Programs Proxy:

A staff member will participate in the Housing Lottery on your behalf during your designated selection time, using the building preferences you indicate on the proxy form. Proxy applications are due by 5pm EST, the day before your designated time to select space.
