AU Student Housing Availability

Housing and Dining Programs will open Anderson Hall to AU students every summer to provide a convenient and cost-effective summer housing option. You can enjoy all of the benefits of residence hall life at a cost that is competitive with most off-campus accommodations, particularly when you factor in expenses such as travel, cable, phone service and internet access. Another advantage of summer housing on campus is the convenient spring-to-summer and summer-to-fall move-over.

Spring to Summer Transition

Students staying at American University for the summer will be able to move directly from their academic year room into their summer assignment by filling out a Request for Late Departure form.  More information regarding the Request for Late Departure form will be available soon.

Dates of Availability

Summer student housing for 2012 is available in Anderson Hall from Sunday, May 13, at 3:00 p.m. to Saturday, August 11, at 12:00 p.m. Check-in at the residence hall front desk on your check-in date. Students may not check-in until after 3:00pm on the date of their arrival to campus.
