Fall 2016 Transfer Students

Transfer Student Housing

Welcome to Housing & Dining Programs and thank you for your interest in living with us on campus this fall at American University! The priority deadline to apply for housing is July 1. In order to apply, you must submit your enrollment and housing deposit through the Admissions Office. Your application to apply for housing will be available on your AU Housing Portal.

Housing is offered to transfer students on a space available basis, but is not guaranteed. When available, preference is given to transfer students who are admitted with 36 or fewer credits and who have submitted an enrollment deposit and housing application by July 1.

Due to strong interest for housing from our students, it is important that you submit your housing enrollment deposit as soon as possible if you are interested in on-campus housing for the fall.  We encourage all transfer students to simultaneously pursue off-campus housing alternatives.

You may learn more about housing at American University, such as our residence halls, housing rates, and services, by exploring our website.
