Winter Break Housing Information

Break Housing Information for Main & Tenley Campus Residents

Residents must make arrangements to depart for winter break within 24 hours of their last final exam. All main campus residence halls (except Nebraska hall) will close at 12:00pm (noon) on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Mail/Parcel delivery will end the day before (December 18, 2012). We will begin accepting mail and packages for the Spring 2013 semester on Monday, January 7, 2013. Anything received before this date will not be accepted. The halls will re-open for the spring semester for returning students at 3pm on Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Break Housing Information for Nebraska Hall Residents

Nebraska Hall will remain open over winter for resident occupancy. Please note that the front desk will be closed and will not reopen until January 6, 2012. Please make sure that you notify your RA that you will be in Nebraska Hall for any time between December 18, 2012 and January 6, 2013.

Break Housing Information for Berkshire Apartment through AU Residents

Student living at the Berkshire Apartments are not required to leave their apartments for the semester breaks. A Community Coordinator will be available via phone for any issues or concerns. Public Safety can be reached for emergencies at all times at 202-885-3636. If you are planning on terminating your housing for the spring semester, you will need to vacate your apartment by December 19, 2012. For more information, please contact the Housing and Dining Programs office or one of your Community Coordinators.

Break Housing Information & Availability

Limited Winter Break housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Tenley Campus (Federal Hall) only. Applications are currently closed. There is a one week minimum stay and a daily charge of $40.00 per person per night for this service.
