1) Volunteering Information Session

Mark Rhoads, an immigration attorney from McCandlish Holton, LLP, will provide a free information session about the risks involved with volunteering (as in internships without academic credit while you are enrolled in an academic program). If you are interested in learning about U.S. labor and immigration regulations pertaining to volunteering, we invite you to attend this information session!

Mr. Rhoads will highlight why international students should obtain employment authorization for some of the volunteer opportunities in today’s U.S. job market.

This session will be followed by an H-1B visa workshop.

2) H-1B Information Session

Mark Rhoads, an immigration attorney from McCandlish Holton, LLP, will provide a free information session about the H-1B and other work visas. If you have questions about the transition from student to work visa, we invite you to attend this information session!

Mr. Rhoads will answer the following questions (among others):

  • When can you apply for an H-1B visa?
  • What does your employer do in the process?
  • How do you transition from student to work visa?
  • How long can you work in the US on an H-1B visa?
  • How do you move to permanent residence from H-1B visa?
