Kenny Clark
Intercultural Programming Assistant
Name: Kenny Clark
School and major: SIS, International Relations with a focus in security and U.S. foreign policy.
Program responsibilities: I have directed the Road Trip USA program since August 2008. I plan trips and events across the East Coast with the objective of educating AU's international students on unique aspects of American culture. I also oversee a number of Global Cafe events, which promotes U.S. culture through the celebration of traditional American holidays.
Why you joined ISSS: I first started working with international students in high school and it is a passion that has followed me to AU. I love learning about other cultures and I especially like hearing the fascinating perspectives international students have on current events.
What you like about Road Trip USA: I enjoy interacting with people from different walks of life and learning about their home country. It is also a lot of fun sharing American culture with international students.
Your favorite place on campus: The best place on campus is the lobby of the new SIS building, though I spend most of my time in ISSS.
What you do in your spare time: I like collecting watches, golfing, traveling, trying new foods, and reading security studies books.
