On-Line Immigration Check-In for Returning Students
MUST BE COMPLETED EVERY SEMESTER
These are instructions to verify and update your records and make sure the information ISSS is required to send to the Dept. of Homeland Security each semester is correct. Not completing check-in places your immigration status in jeopardy. This check-in must be completed at the start of every semester.
Part 1: Login to iEAGLE
1. Login to myau.american.edu (use Firefox, Internet Explorer or Chrome) 2. On the left side menu, click on ACADEMICS 3. Click on iEAGLE from the drop down box 4. Click on blue LOGIN button 5. Login to iEAGLE using your myAUPortal login information
Part 2: Complete Immigration Check-In eForm in iEAGLE
6. On the left menu of iEAGLE homepage click on Current Students 7. Then click on Immigration Check-In. Make sure YOUR NAME appears at the top – if not, LOG OUT. 8. Click on Address Update. This will take you to myAUPortal where you will update your information. 9. Choose HOM Home/Permanent and click Submit, update your non-US address and click Submit. 10. Choose ISA Current/Local address and click Submit, update your US address and click Submit. 11. Choose Emergency Contact and click Submit, update information and click Submit.
Part 3: Return to Orientation Check-In tab in browser
12. Complete the Immigration Check-In eForm. 13. Click SUBMIT after you have verified full-time registration, address and emergency contact updates. 14. LOG OUT on the left side menu AND LOG OUT of the MyAU Portal.
You may NOT submit the Orientation Check-In eForm until you are registered full-time for your program. If you are not sure if you are registered full-time go to myAUPortal, click on ACADEMICS, click on View Online Transcript and review Fall 2016 class registration.
*If you do not see the iEAGLE link in your myAUPortal go to ieagle.american.edu
OPT: Students on OPT are NOT required to complete the check-in, but should update their addresses and employer information with ISSS any time they move or change employers.
