The Kay Spiritual Life Center hosts a number of events throughout the year, from continuing series, to one-time programs and special events.
One of our longest running programs: we gather respected teachers and experts on different topics to discuss issues of social, moral, and ethical importance. And a free lunch is always served. Everyone is welcome to attend these events that feed body, mind, and soul.
The Kay Spiritual Life Center offers interfaith prayer and reflection services on the first Wednesday of the month. These services offer a space for the entire AU community to gather to reflect on events or issues taking place on our campus, in our nation, and in our world.
In addition, on the third Wednesday of the month, we host a Signature Service in honor of a community or individual (such as Oscar Romero or Martin Luther King, Jr.) and reflect on the lessons their lives and examples have for us.
Named after distinguished University Chaplain Emeritus, the Rev. Dr. Bruce R. Poynter, the Poynter Lecture series is an annual event bringing leaders to campus who exemplify the highest ideals of compassion and justice for a world in need.
