Christy is from California and joined International Student Scholar Services in 2001. She has a BA in Pacific Island Studies from Brigham Young University-Hawai'i and a MA in International Training and Education from American University. She has presented at NAFSA regional conferences and Foreign Student Advisor meetings. In addition to traveling extensively throughout the world, Christy spent a total of five years living and working in Scotland and Zambia and speaks kiKaonde and chiNyanja
