Leaders Who Inspire and Foster Positive Transitions

L.eaders who I.nspire and F.oster positive T.ransitions L.I.F.T was created to welcome new culturaly diverse students into the American University community. With the assistance of students, faculty and staff mentors, we offer advice and support to new students during their transition to college, introduce them to the culturally rich environment on and off campus, and provide resources to enhance their educational experience. Ideally, peer, faculty and staff mentors maintain an on-going connection with new students, encouraging them to access campus resources for academic and personal support. New students participate in academic seminars and social programs to help them become familiar with AU and Washington, DC. Interested in becoming a mentor or mentee? Contact Multicultural Affairs!!
