This two-day program is designed for both first-year and transfer students joining the AU community for the first time in the Spring 2014 Semester. The domestic student program will be January 9-10, 2014. Students joining us for spring 2014 will receive a letter with inviting them to register for January Orientation through mail.
Attention Early Decision Students
Students who have been admitted for Fall 2014 will receive a copy of the Eagle Summit Brochure, and should not register for January Orientation. The brochure includes information about the program and how to register and will be mailed out in April or May depending on the date of deposit.
January Orientation REGISTRATION HOW-TO & FEES
The fee to attend January Orientation is $65.00 per participant (students and family members). Students are advised to bring additional spending money for off-campus dining and other activities. The $65.00 fee covers two lunches, one breakfast, program materials, and activities.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Orientation cancellations and refund requests must be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org and must be received by 4pm EST on Friday, January 3, 2014. All credits will be posted to the student's AU tuition account. If the credit results in a positive account balance, the student may request a refund check by following instructions located on Student Accounts page.
January Orientation Schedule
You will receive a fully detailed schedule at check-in, however we wanted to provide you the general schedule to allow you to make arrangements as needed.
Check-in is between 9:00am and 10:15am on Thursday, January 9th. The program runs until 5:00pm that evening. We also offer optional programming for students who would like to participate, including dinner with our leaders and a trip into the city (not included in the fee). The second day begins with breakfast at 8:30am and the first program is at 9:00am. The day concludes 2:00pm.
Throughout the two days, you will hear presentations from your academic program, housing and dining programs, the university library and the academic support and access center, the career center, student activities, AU Central, the dean of students office, and the student health center. Parents and families are welcome to participate and have a similar schedule.
At the end of the program, we also offer a showcase of departments, student organizations, and off-campus organizations. You will be able to speak with them individually and get your questions answered.
